I am a Gold Star Mother. We lost our oldest son in January of 2008 in Scania, Iraq in Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was a 1st lieutenant in the US Army, 82nd Airborne, Paratrooper. He was married with a son, only 7 months old when it happened. You learn alot about life and yourself when something so tragic happens in your life. Life is very short so you must make every day count.
